Hope

I wish our class had a "speak proper English day". Can we have one? Then Ms Lim would be SO happy.

----------------------------

It has been a while since the last posts and yeah, post more! Certain members of our class have NEVER posted and its pretty sad to be honest. I wonder how many of our class people even read our class blog?

Which brings me to the topic of classmate relations. JC life is ending soon for us and I, for one thing, would not like to see the debilitation of our class spirit (whatever amount that we had), but the substantialized fruits of camaraderie. Come on people! We ARE a class, for goodness' sake. Disseverance has always been a distinct feature of our class since last year, and although things have settled down a bit, the demarcation of the different groups in class have never been more apparent. I don't know about you, or whoever is reading this, but I certainly hope that the friends we make here in Hwa Chong are lifelong ones, especially your classmates. People you can count on for decades to come, not people you forget after one year or two. I sincerely wish that 07S6G will not be just another ephemeral occurrence in each of our lives.

I feel a sense of nostalgia, or maybe even self-pity, when I see our junior class. They might not be that bonded right now, but they have time. They have time and the hope of a closer knit class. We don't have much time left to fill this lacuna we have in our hearts.

Remember the song by our senior, Galvin Sng?

"Ten years down the road, will we ever get to see one another?
Will things ever be the same, will we still be friends forever?"

I am despondent over the fact that I have no definite answer to these questions. Do you have the definite answer in your heart?
------------------------------------------

Okay I have successfully made the post sound like a newspaper "forum" section complaint letter, but it is not just another one of my lame writings. I wrote it out of sincerity and hope for a higher level of vibrancy and affinity between each and every single one person which belongs to our class, senior and junior alike. Just please do not let me be the only one who contends this stand, for it takes companionship and teamwork to conquer mountains of brobdingnagian proportions such as this one which stands tall and ominous before us.

In hope, which brings strength to the weary,
Josiah Berlian Putera Liang (08) 07S6G.
